A Different Kind of Obamania

A little late as this was release before the election. But, I thought it relevant with the recent conversation with my boss (at job#2) where she revealed her plan to go out and "stock up on guns" in the wake of Obama's election. The same kind of hysteria featured in this video (which I, frankly, found hysterical!).

Misleading Headline from Parade

When I first read the chart below, I thought I would be paying 8 times more tax under Obama. After all, the headline reads "How Much Would You Pay in Taxes".

I went down to my meager income level and thought "Oh my...I would pay $892 under Obama and $118 under McCain."

However, in the smaller print it is explained that the above figures would be the tax savings under each candidate.

A bit misleading to the casual reader--which may be most folks. After all, who is the serious reader of Parade.

Palin just Pallin' Around

The McCain/Palin campaign is desperate. They are grasping at straws with this new turn towards linking Obama and Ayers as if they are one in the same. This is hardly realistic, to blame Obama for the things Ayers did when Obama was a mere child. Furthermore, does McCain/Palin really want to start talking about "guilt by association".

If so, Palin been "pallin' around" with some treasonous bastards.

After reading about McCain's voting record and the political history of Palin, I wonder what makes anyone think they are maverick. They toe the party line on almost all issues!

I'm reminded of a line from The Princess Bride when I hear them use the word maverick. "You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means."

For all the Silly Republican

For all those silly Republicans who keep asking "What is a community organizer?" I know Republicans are out of touch, but didn't think they lived under a rock--the only explanation for such a outrageous question.
